My husband, Jeff, and I married while attending the University of Arkansas in my hometown of Fayetteville. We spent our first anniversary at Eden Isle’s Red Apple Inn (just outside Heber Springs’ city limits) in 1984. We moved to Memphis in 1985 but returned to the Heber Springs area often over the ensuing years for weekend vacations with friends and our growing family. We were drawn back repeatedly by Greers Ferry Lake, the Little Red River, the surrounding Ozark Mountains, and the kind people that we regularly meet during our visits to the area.
In 2015, we. purchased a vacation home just outside Heber Springs on Eden Isle, the Fabulous Family Lakehouse. Two years later we noticed that one of Eden Isle’s original “vacation villas” (just down the street from our home on Eden Isle) was for sale. Although we had never considered owning a vacation rental, we purchased the villa and lovingly restored it for use as the vacation home now known as the Retreat at Eden Isle. We loved restoring the Retreat and helping visitors to the area build great memories like those our family now shares.
During the summer months of 2019 we became interested in the property now known as the Chateau on the Little Red. We were drawn in by the Chateau’s stunning architecture, its upscale finishes and the incredible views offered by its location on the banks of the Little Red River.
Our guests love our vacation homes and we think you’ll love them too! We look forward to your stay!
