Our Fabulous Family Lake House is located on Eden Isle, a 400-acre resort just outside of Heber Springs, Arkansas. Eden Isle is surrounded by Greers Ferry Lake. Our home is close to (.5 mile) Eden Isle Marina and a short (2 minute) drive from the Red Apple Inn & Country Club. It includes a romantic (gas log) fireplace, a large gazebo with a big screen outdoor theater set up for “movie nights”, a cascading koi pond, and beautiful grounds that are drawn indoors by our home’s extensive windows.

About This Vacation Home

The Space

Our home sits on a large landscaped lot with plenty of outdoor rooms for enjoyment. Outdoors, we enjoy watching movies on the large screen of our Gazebo, and early mornings with coffee or tea by the cascading water fountain. Or fountain includes a group of koi and happy goldfish. Feeding them is a regular treat for us. Greer’s Ferry Lake surrounds Eden Isle. Eden Isle’s marina is a convenient walk from our home. The Red Apple Inn and Country Club are added amenities that no one should miss. The Red Apple Inn’s holiday buffets are legendary and its championship golf course is part of Arkansas’ “Golf Trail.” Heber Springs (4 miles away) is a charming town with compelling attractions like Sugarloaf Mountain, the Ellen Hobgood Gallery, Aromatique, Ozark Country Market, Ruland Toy Train Museum, Greers Ferry Dam, a trout hatchery, JFK Park, the Little Red River and much, much more.

    The Fabulous Family Lakehouse offers sleeping arrangements for up to 9 guests in 5 beds. Two bedrooms each have king beds, one bedroom has a queen bed, and a fourth bedroom has a twin over-full bunk bed. An inflatable mattress is also available.

My brother and I had the pleasure of staying at another one of Margo’s properties – The Retreat at Eden Isle a couple of years ago and loved it. So I was super excited when we had the opportunity to have spring break with the families in this larger property.

It was perfect – everyone had there own space – the large living room was great for an evening of TV watching and the outdoor spaces were just amazing. It was a bit cooler than expected when we were there so we didn’t have the opportunity to use the outdoor theater but I hope we have a chance on a return trip because I can’t wait to come back. Eden Isle truly is a special place and Margo is an amazing host.

Margo is a wonderful hostess. She made our stay, from check-in to check-out easy and stress free. The property the house is on is well maintained in a safe and nature scenic environment which makes this Family Lakehome a perfect vacation destination no matter what time of year you stay there. Immediately upon arrival, you get the sense of the love and care the owners have invested in the property. Inside the home, there is a sense of a “warm welcome”, friendly atmosphere. The furnishings and decor are tastefully done- the rooms are accurately depicted in the listing of the home, they’re more spacious than you would imagine. The kitchen is smaller in size but has everything you need and Margo has a large dining table so there’s plenty of room for the whole family. This was my first stay with Margo but won’t be my last. I would definitely recommend her home for a family vacation, reunion, girlfriend getaway, or group of friends getaway.
